Rocky Horror Picture Show is madness incarnate on celluloid, writes film.hu, “which a normal writer would never have written, a normal director would never have directed, and normal actors would never have played, and normal viewers would never have watched”. It would be impossible to come up with a more pithy description about this genuinely bizarre, and extremely unique film even because of its genre (after all, it is a horror musical). After minor problems on the road, the two lead characters find themselves in a creepy mansion where, open mouthed, they watch the flamboyant and weird transvestite dance performance of the freaky – in costume as well as manner – denizens of the mansion. Flamboyant. If one had to sum up this film in a single word, then perhaps this would be it: flamboyant.
