LUX FILM DAYS / 1 to 3 December 2014

Screening of the three finalists in the 2014 LUX Prize Official Competition

1 december 2014 - 3 december 2014

Location: Díszterem

With the LUX Film Prize, awarded every year at the December Plenary, the European Parliament seeks to raise attention to cultural diversity and other societal issues including integration, social inclusion, immigration, poverty, equality, violence against women and human rights through the power of film. The three films in the run for the LUX Prize 2014 are Rok Biček’s Class Enemy (Slovenia), Céline Sciamma’s Girlhood (French) and Pawel Pawlikowski’s Ida (Poland/Denmark).

LUX Film Days takes place in autumn in more than 40 cities in European Union as a tangible manifestation of the European Parliament's committed involvement in cinema and culture. With subtitles in all of the official EU languages, the competing films become accessible to general audience and encourage discussions on the issues that concern us all. During LUX Film Days, the three films shortlisted for LUX Prize will be shown simultaneously in 24 languages in 28 EU countries.
