Night Moves

drama, USA, 112 min, 2013
in English with Hungarian voice-over

Show times:

Director: Kelly Reichardt

Cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning, Peter Sarsgaard

Night Moves tells the story of three radical environmentalists coming together to execute the most intense protest of their lives: the explosion of a hydroelectric dam – the very source and symbol of the resource-devouring industrial culture they despise. Harmon is a former Marine, a reckless alpha male, excited by the prospect of mayhem and destruction; Dena is a high society dropout, sickened by the consumer economy; Josh, son of the middle class, is an intensely private person and may have the deepest convictions of them all. However, not everything goes as planned, and, after a tragic incident, the conspirators, separated and filled with paranoia and dread, should confront dangers physical and mental, anticipated and unexpected. Acclaimed independent filmmaker Kelly Reichardt’s most star-studded production to date, Night Moves is an intelligent thriller and a meditation on the material and moral consequences of eco-terrorism.
