Awards: Les Magritte du cinéma 2015
Best up-coming actor
Marc Zinga

"Football, prime sport of integration, democracy and popularity, is a pretext to pinpoint this difficult
communication that transforms the relationship between Africans and Europeans into a number of quite amusing and tragic misunderstandings (…) With the energy passed by a breathtaking Poelvorde, Benoit Mariage taunts the colonial arrogance of some and the condescension of others (…) The director dares the politically incorrect by leaving his hero explain why Africa will never win a world cup. And spares unexpected developments of a rare cruelty in popular comedy. There is pathos in this blind pseudo-fatherhood story but also tenderness for a character whose bravado hardly hides his loneliness. It’s undeniable : the two Benoit are inspiring each other." Télérama (Mathilde Blottière)
